Katch Challenges Tinder and Bumble to Reveal How Many Real Dates They Actually Create

Irish dating app says the industry celebrates matches, messages and screen time - but rarely reveals how many people actually meet.

Irish dating app Katch (www.katch.ie) is publicly challenging Tinder and Bumble to disclose one simple figure: how many real dates do their platforms actually create each month?

While the dating industry regularly promotes downloads, matches and user engagement, Katch believes the number that matters most is how many singles successfully move from the app to meeting face-to-face.

"Dating apps were created to help people meet, but the industry now seems more focused on keeping singles swiping," said Paul Numan, founder of Katch. "A match is not a date, a message is not a relationship and hours spent on an app should not be considered success."

Unlike traditional dating apps, Katch does not rely on endless swiping. It assesses members, makes suitable introductions and helps arrange real dates based on personality, age, location and compatibility.

Katch is now calling on the world's largest dating platforms to publish monthly figures showing how many matches result in genuine in-person dates.

"If Tinder and Bumble are genuinely helping people find relationships, they should have no problem revealing how many dates they actually create," Numan added. "Dating apps should be judged by people meeting - not by people staying on their phones."

Katch is available to singles looking for genuine introductions and real dates without endless swiping or messaging.

To test things out for yourself, just download Katch and Tinder/Bumble and see for yourself which one gets you out on dates faster and which one has you swiping until your fingers hurt.
