Essential Stats Volleyball: the free app to start scouting

“We want to offer custom-made product to all the people who need or just desire to learn more about volleyball, increasing a passion which is also ours”: with these words Data Project introduced Essential Stats, the free app for Android dedicated to those who want to make their first simple steps into the scout and statistics world.

The app allows to collect and analyse simple statistical data of a match with as little engagement as possible: with just one tap you store the result of the rally and get the statistical analysis per set and per rotation. Because of the minimum effort requested, the app can be used also by the head coach and the assistant coach, who usually have so many other things to do.

If you want to do more, you can relate the player to the rally result and get also the score analysis per player, or you can detect the start of the rally in order to synchronize the scout with the video of the match.

The most important benefit of having all of this on the smartphone or tablet is basically the fact that you can share the results with your athletes immediately, via Whatsapp, email or even Facebook: the app generates a match report, customizable according to the filter set-rotations-players, in PDF format (also printable) and in an extra format specially designed for sharing on Facebook.

Lastly the Essential Stats scout file is provided in the Data Project standard format that can be exported and analysed with Click&Scout or Data Volley 4.
