The LEGENDS Rural Alliance carries a record that predates LEGENDS Research itself. Co-Founder Eric Bonniksen has spent more than three decades leading small and rural schools in California, most recently as Superintendent of the Placerville Union School District and as immediate past President of the Small School Districts' Association (SSDA), a role in which he served as a statewide and national advocate for equitable funding, legislative reform, and the professional development of rural school leaders.
