EMBank Reports Steady 2025 Growth While Reinforcing Its Operational Foundations

European Merchant Bank (EMBank) delivered stable financial results in 2025, continuing to expand its core business while reinforcing its operational foundations. The Bank's loan portfolio grew by 21% over the year, reflecting consistent demand from small and medium-sized enterprises seeking structured financing solutions. Gross income reached EUR 11.08 million, deposits remained at EUR 199 million, and total assets increased to EUR 214.7 million, indicating steady and measured balance sheet growth.
Growth in lending remained a defining feature of the year. The loan portfolio rose from EUR 36 million to EUR 44 million, supported by a client base that is increasingly focused on long-term investment and operational efficiency. Total income edged up from EUR 10.81 million to EUR 11.08 million, while net interest income held at EUR 4.3 million, demonstrating stability in the Bank's core revenue streams.
Net profit stood at EUR 573 thousand, compared to EUR 1.06 million in 2024. This outcome reflects EMBank's continued focus on strengthening its internal capabilities, including investments in technology infrastructure, compliance frameworks, and risk management systems, all of which remain critical in the current European regulatory environment.

Sarp Demiray, CEO of European Merchant Bank, noted that businesses in Lithuania are approaching growth with greater clarity and discipline: "The demand for financing is becoming more structured, with companies focusing on building long-term value rather than short-term expansion."

He added that the Bank's priorities remain aligned with this shift: "Our investments in technology, compliance, and our team are designed to strengthen the Bank's foundations and ensure we can support our clients in a consistent and reliable way."

Ekmel Cilingir, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of EMBank, emphasised that modern banking requires a careful balance between efficiency and control: "Clients expect fast and convenient services, but this must always be matched with strong security standards and sound governance."

In the coming period, EMBank plans to further expand its support for SMEs, particularly those investing in digitalisation, automation, and sustainable business practices. The Bank will also continue to strengthen its compliance environment, enhance anti-money laundering systems, and invest in governance and internal controls to support sustainable, long-term development.
