MUNICH, GERMANY--- Feb 7, 2006 -- The Soccer World Cup 2006 will kick off in Munich a mere 4 months from now, and organizing a safe, affordable and clean place to stay from afar has become a challenge. A group of three German entrepreneurs set out to ensure that international guests still have the chance to find affordable accommodations in all German cities hosting the World Cup 2006. The three started the Internet-based lodging agency EUROPE-LIVING.COM, offering private accommodations to guests from all over the world. The database of EUROPE LIVING currently includes more than 750 rooms, apartments and even houses for soccer fans. During the time of the World Cup, rooms start at approximately $50 USD a night; complete apartments and houses are available from $100 USD a night. Interested parties can directly book their accommodation online, without having to contact the landlord personally to make a reservation. Most listings can be paid for with a credit card, the commission is already included in the price provided.
"Of course we want to demonstrate the world famous German hospitality," says Jan-Ulrich Bittlinger, co-founder of EUROPE LIVING. "But a private rental is more than just an affordable accommodation, it provides you with instant connections and priceless insider tips: the best bar in the neighborhood, where to go for dinner and what World Cup parties are the best."

EUROPE-LIVING.COM emphasizes the perfect condition of all their listings. The proverbial German cleanness is reliable: "We check our listings to ensure perfect conditions," says Bittlinger. A detailed description of all accommodations can be found on the website of EUROPE-LIVING.COM, which also allows to easily check the distance to the airport, the soccer arena or the main station. All listings are placed into one of several price categories: Backpacker, Economy, Business and First Class.

So far 80% of all bookings have come from the United States, Canada and Australia. Ken from Michigan, who rented an apartment in the heart of Munich for $120 USD per night, said: "I was very surprised at how affordable it was to rent a place, especially one in such a great location. It's hard to accommodate 5 people traveling together and this apartment will be terrific."
