Press release from: eduate.eu

Auditorium in front of Stonehenge.

Auditorium in front of Stonehenge.

Geometric shapes and wild nature is the theme of the new eduate.eu island in Second Life, showing a very digital and mathematical approach of pathways, which stand in contrast with, among other nature-like hiding places, eduate.eu's Stonehenge depicting on natural chaos. A clean and minimalistic auditorium and the natural classroom built on top of the vineyard are places, where visitors can exchange knowledge, learn and teach.

Meeting, talking to and relaxing with Second Life avatars is facilitated via three centrally placed meeting points recognizable by benches and birches, linked through Japanese-like temple pathways.

A pathway channel dividing the vineyard will be the location for presenting one of the European projects, eduate.eu is involved in, on six informational screens, leading directly to one of the island's member's open museum. The port and its semicircle shaped walkway serve to present a second eduate.eu project on info panels.

y.s. authentics, a consultancy agency, also implicated in the creation of virtual objects, will expose for sale its range of 42 pairs of shoes starting from the creation of the first pair to the latest models, telling a story about the development of design. The shop serves also as a practical example, for visitors and learners, of the possibility to create virtual objects and to sell them, information being projected on a video screen.
