DIGITUS® allows the easiest storage extension in the Terabyte Range

Data storage and data security is a steadily increasing topic. Low cost solutions for data security are always being looked for, especially in the SOHO (Small Office – Home Office) sector.

DIGITUS® now brings a simple, comfortable and reasonably priced solution onto the market in the form of a 2 x external hard disk housing. The aluminium housing holds 2 standard 3.5’’ SATA / SATA II hard disks, each with a maximum storage capacity of 1 terabyte. An integrated fan provides sufficient cooling for the storage unit.

The 125 x 200 x 89 mm housing is provided with power from the mains unit delivered at the same time and therefore guarantees fault free operations. Connection is made to the PC via an eSATA or USB A/B connection cable. Both cables are also included in the scope of delivery.

The Big Mode Function gives the user the opportunity of using the built-in hard disks as one drive (JBOD) or using the drives individually with Port-Multiplair. A switch for selecting the functions (Switching & Cycle Switch) is located at the back of the 1.015 kg heavy housing. The function control takes place via LEDs for the power indicator (red), HDD access (blue), HDD IN LED (green), USB interface LED (blue) and eSATA interface LED (blue) on the front side.

The operating systems Windows 2000, XP and Vista supported.

The recommended retail price for the external hard disk housing DA-70525 is € 59,90.
