LivingOffice - Building of new headquarters for Weight Watchers started
On the former Rheinmetall site in Düsseldorf-Derendorf the new building of the loft complex LivingOffice is now in the starting blocks. A lease signed by Weight Watchers Deutschland GmbH for its new headquarters over 3,200 m² is providing sufficient pre-letting to launch the project. Even before construction starts more than half of the space is already let. Colliers Trombello Kölbel Immobilienconsulting GmbH acted as consultants and estate agents for Weight Watchers in the transaction. It is intended that the headquarters of Weight Watchers for Germany will take up residence in summer 2009. The company expansion of the provider of weight management programmes makes the move from Grafenberger Allee necessary.The building of the new loft complex is taking place directly next to the extensively refurbished old building on Rather Strasse. The office building will offer a total of ca. 6,000 m² of net space on seven floors. The architecture will be oriented towards the industrial character of the old building. The central foyer will extend over two storeys. Owner of the project development and of the old building is a subsidiary company of the US-American food concern Cargill.
