Macao International Travel Expo 2026 Showcases Innovation and Global Collaboration

The Macao International Travel Expo (MITE) 2026, held at The Venetian Macao, opened its doors to international exhibitors and visitors, highlighting the latest innovations in travel, technology, and cultural exchange.

The event featured companies from across Asia and Europe, including Portugal, Thailand, Spain, and the Philippines, alongside exhibitors from Mainland China and Hong Kong. With hundreds of stands, performances, and product demonstrations, MITE 2026 reinforced Macau's growing role as a hub for tourism and business in the Greater Bay Area.

Among the highlights was iFlyTek, a leading Asia‐Pacific company specializing in intelligent speech technology. Their AI translator, demonstrated at the expo, allowed seamless communication between English and Chinese speakers, underscoring the potential of artificial intelligence in international business meetings. Other attractions included whisky and wine tastings, robotics displays, and advanced drone technology, offering visitors a glimpse into the future of travel and hospitality.

Andrea Pimpini, MSc student and Research Assistant at the University of Macau, attended the expo and shared his impressions:
