Industry 4.0, cyber security, cloud computing and automation. These were some of the topics discussed by Radix during the 21st Annual ARC Industry Forum, which took place February 6-9th in Orlando, Florida.

Radix's booth was mainly focused on Industry 4.0, but also discussed more traditional engineering and software solutions. During the event, Flávio Guimarães, CEO of Radix US, presented a panel on "Open Automation" for CEOs and directors from various companies. The panel provided the participants an experience on different automation architectures that allow interoperability never seen before. Through an open architecture for an automation system, it is possible to have a platform with ample capacity to connect with the most diverse technologies and therefore it creates a flexible and scalable environment.

Another highlight of the event was Radix’s solutions for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) presentation, which leveraged Sotreq's risk management and operational cost reduction through predictive analysis and improved use of IIoT tools. The case was presented by Wagner Emerick, director of Product Support at Sotreq, and Eduardo Suski, Radix Project Manager in the panel discussion.

In addition to both panels, Radix was featured in presentations from key partners and customers such as ExxonMobil, a multinational oil and gas company, and Sotreq, the largest distributer for Caterpillar in Brazil. For the ARC Advisory Group, digital companies combine operational technology (OT), engineering technology (ET) and information technology (IT). The CEO of Radix US, Flávio Guimarães, revealed the event highlighted fundamental characteristics that have been part of the Radix business since its foundation. "Radix has always differentiated itself by combining engineering and software development, aligning digital revolution new technologies. Today, we see these solutions are being increasingly demanded as it becomes a differential. "

The theme at the 2017 ARC Industry Forum was "Industry in transition: realizing the digital enterprise". For Radix CEO, Luiz Eduardo Rubião, the theme of the event highlights the digital transformation that is a reality in several countries.

"With our Houston office, we noticed a need from customers in various industries to significantly reduce costs, increase productivity, and have information in the cloud safely, preventing cyber intrusions. Therefore, for a while now, Radix has been executing projects for these solutions," explained the CEO of Radix.

The ARC Advisory Group is a leader in providing advice on new technologies to large companies around the world. In order to further expand its operations in the North American market, especially in the oil and gas and chemical sectors, Radix is currently supported by ARC to strengthen the presence of its Big Data, IoT, Analytics and Asset Management in this market. In addition to Radix, ARC also works with other strategic partners of Radix, such as GE and ExxonMobil.

Radix Engineering & Software provides full service engineering, automation services, and customized software development to provide a customized solution to its clients.
