KnitMesh Technologies, a leading manufacturer of knitted wire mesh products, has signed the Armed Forces Covenant at a ceremony held last week at Caernarfon Castle in North Wales.

The signing was attended by KnitMesh Technologies' Managing Director, Peter Evans, alongside representatives from the UK Ministry of Defence, including Brigadier Mark Davis CBE, Head of the Army in Wales.

The Armed Forces Covenant is a national commitment that ensures those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, along with their families, are treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy, and society they serve. By signing the Covenant, KnitMesh Technologies has pledged to actively support current and former service personnel, reservists, and military families.

As a company headquartered in North Wales since its establishment in 1957, KnitMesh Technologies has long-standing ties to both the local community and the UK's defence-related sectors. The business works closely with a range of industries that support defence and security, making this commitment particularly meaningful.

Peter Evans, Managing Director of KnitMesh Technologies, said: "Signing the Armed Forces Covenant is something we are really proud of. We have a great deal of respect for the men and women who serve our country, and this felt like the right step for us to take. Given the work we do across defence-related sectors, it is especially important that we show that commitment in a meaningful way. We also know first-hand the value that service personnel bring, whether that is their skills, discipline, or experience, and we are keen to support them as they move into civilian careers."

For those considering a career with KnitMesh Technologies, this commitment means that military experience will be recognised as relevant in recruitment and career development, and that the company will support the transition from service into civilian employment.
