Rosemont College Presents "Women in Glass: The Saints of Rosemont Chapel" - A Public Celebration of Art, Faith, History, and the Return of the Light

Rosemont, PA - January 27, 2026 - The Cultural Heritage Gallery at Rosemont College invites the public to "Women in Glass: The Saints of Rosemont Chapel," a free special program exploring the stained glass windows of the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception. Led by Assistant Professor Joanne Campbell, this thoughtful event honors the women saints depicted in the glass, with a special focus on St. Brigid and her enduring influence. It includes musical tributes, reflections, a candlelight vigil as part of the Return of the Light celebration, a luminaria-lit procession, curated artwork displays, lectures, and refreshments.

The program runs Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., beginning in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception (Rosemont campus, 1400 Montgomery Ave., Rosemont, PA 19010) and transitioning to the Main Building. No registration is required; the event is open to all community members, students, and visitors.

The evening opens with Sr. Margaret Doyle, SHCJ (Vice President and leader of Campus Ministry and Mission) and Professor Michelle Moravec providing welcome remarks, chapel history, and an introduction to St. Brigid. Professor Carla Spataro will perform "Ave Maria" and "May the Road Rise to Meet You," accompanied by Professor Frank Klose on piano. Rennie Andrews will handle introductions and donor acknowledgments. A community procession with luminaria will lead to the Main Building for art viewing, refreshments, and lectures.

Artwork Displays
Selected submissions of artwork depicting St. Brigid from students, faculty, and staff (curated by Professors Alison Willse, Maggie Hobson Baker, and Autumn Cornell) will be on view in the Main Building.
