New Intensive Basketball Camps to Ignite Talents Among Young Hoopers in Southern California

Young athletes in Riverside and other communities across Southern California will once again have a timely chance to elevate their basketball and social skills through the Splash Boyz' seasonal camps.

The Splash Boyz-a nonprofit organization dedicated to preparing young basketball teams for tournaments-is now set to bring excitement and, most importantly, the opportunity to build skills and confidence to passionate kids in Southern California through its 2025-2026 seasonal camps. Designed for boys in grades three through eight, these programs combine high-energy drills, game-based learning, and hands-on, focused coaching to empower participants to strengthen their basketball skills while also growing as leaders, teammates, and capable individuals.

As planned, the upcoming sessions will include the Winter Break Weekly Camp 1, scheduled for December 29, 2025, through January 2, 2026. Days later, Winter Break Weekly Camp 2 will also be held from January 5 to 9, 2026, followed by the Spring Break Basketball Camp from March 30 to April 3, 2026.

Each program is structured to provide personalized attention-allowing young players to improve their shooting, ball handling, defensive tactics, and overall game IQ in a competitive yet supportive, fun environment. But the benefits extend beyond the court: enrolled campers can develop teamwork, discipline, leadership, and resilience-skills they can carry into their families, schools, communities, and wherever life may take them.

"Our camps are more than basketball. We intend to create a space where kids can push themselves, celebrate their progress, and build their future. Watching them transform as players and as individuals is what makes these programs truly special," said Head Coach Dominic Priestley.

Beyond enhancing players' gameplay, The Splash Boyz also operates as a mission-driven nonprofit that mainly intends to expand access to quality basketball instruction for youth across Murrieta, Riverside, French Valley, Anaheim, San Bernardino, and other surrounding communities. To achieve this goal, it prioritizes affordability and inclusion, assuring that financial barriers do not prevent children from participating in structured athletic development. With support from volunteer coaches and community partners, the organization reinvests program fees in gym utilization, equipment, and training resources, enabling young athletes to benefit from safe facilities, organized instruction, and consistent mentorship.

"Basketball gives us a way to connect with kids and provide them with guidance, consistency, and opportunity. Our goal is to make sure every child who wants to play has a place to learn, feels supported, and builds confidence, regardless of their economic background. And when these young hoopers are given that opportunity, their growth will definitely reach far beyond the game," Priestley stated.
