Classic Mobile Runner Zombie Run Returns With Updated Graphics and Fresh Content
Zombie Run, the classic 2010s mobile endless runner with 20M+ downloads, returns in 2025 with updated graphics
Zombie Run first appeared on smartphones in the early 2010s, at the peak of the endless runner boom. Players control a cartoon zombie sprinting through a ruined city, dodging obstacles, collecting coins and power-ups, and unlocking new characters and outfits. The 2025 version revisits this formula with modern mobile devices in mind, improving graphics, animations and controls and adding new content for both returning players and new audiences.
"Our team has always had a soft spot for Zombie Run. It was one of the projects that put RetroStyle Games on the map," said Alex, Marketing Team Lead at RetroStyle Games. "Many players still remember it from the early days of the App Store and Google Play. We wanted to bring the game back, clean it up for 2025 and give people a quick, satisfying runner they can play in short sessions."
The relaunch of Zombie Run strengthens RetroStyle Games' portfolio of mobile titles and supports the studio's wider focus on long-term partnerships in game art, UI, UX and full-cycle development for clients worldwide.
