Local Investor Group Acquires McCoy Rockford, Uniting Two Major Texas Integrated Interiors Providers

The prior ownership team, including Stan Bunting, Cotton Carlson, David Barnett, and Ken Beaver, has exited the company. New investors-Vince Foster, Mike Luna, Watt Matthews, and Bluestem Equity, led by Ben Tucker and Todd Fisk-have assumed ownership while retaining the existing management team.
In conjunction with the acquisition, the Board of Directors has appointed Mike Luna as Executive Chairman of McCoy Rockford. Luna is the Chairman and CEO of Texas Wilson, central Texas's largest provider of integrated interiors with operations in San Antonio and the Rio Grande Valley. The same investor team acquired majority ownership of Texas Wilson from Luna in April 2024, creating a powerful synergy between the two firms.
Both McCoy Rockford and Texas Wilson serve as the primary dealerships for Steelcase, the international manufacturer of product for offices, hospitals, classrooms, and residential interiors headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Vince Foster, one of the acquiring investors, commented on the opportunity: "I was reacquainted with Mike during the acquisition of Texas Wilson. We were reconnected by Jeff Walker and Todd Crawford, mutual friends from all our time working together at Arthur Andersen - Houston. This convergence of leadership and market expertise is incredibly promising."
Todd Fisk of Bluestem Equity added, "These two organizations, both operating in their respective cities for over 40 years, were a natural fit for our portfolio. We understand distribution for major manufacturers like Steelcase. We plan to deepen our relationship with Steelcase and expect continued growth with them."
