How Three Teenagers Are Turning "Handwritten" Notes into a Revolution in Bangladesh's EdTech.
What if the secret to acing exams wasn't just hours of solitary study, but a community of students sharing knowledge, notes, and practice questions? That's exactly the vision behind Fakibaz, the brainchild of three teenage innovators: Suhaib Muntasir Rahman, Ashfaq Sunny, and Akif Rayan. The idea was born in the chaos of everyday student life. Suhaib, a 10th-grader, SSC Candidate at Adamjee Cantonment Public School, recalls: "I had piles of notes, but my friends didn't. They had different notes, but I didn't. It was madness." Late-night library sessions, random discussions over coffee, and some friendly teasing about their 'messy note system' sparked an idea, what if there was a platform where students could share handwritten notes and access curated question banks from their institutes?
Thus, Fakibaz was born, a playful name inspired by how the founders used to jokingly call themselves "fakibaz" for trading notes in chaotic ways. What started as casual brainstorming soon turned serious. Suhaib, the tech visionary, spearheaded the platform's development. Akif Rayan, the interface designer, often spent nights debugging features with coffee and instant noodles as fuel, while Ashfaq Sunny meticulously ensured that every note and question uploaded was aligned with school curricula, making Fakibaz both fun and academically reliable.
Their journey hasn't been without milestones and laughs. Fakibaz won the Champion Title at the 1st SAGC Business Fest 2025 in the Startup Summit segment, earning 15,000 BDT which was enough to fund the app's backbone, interface, and dataset infrastructure. But more than funding, the recognition validated the founders' idea that students want smarter, collaborative learning tools.
"Fakibaz isn't just about notes," Suhaib explains. "It's about making learning engaging, collaborative, and accessible for every student in Bangladesh, from Dhaka to the smallest towns." The founders dream of adding AI-powered note suggestions, expanding institute collaborations, and eventually creating a platform where students don't just prepare for exams, but learn smarter and inspire each other.
Today, Fakibaz stands as a testament to what passion, creativity, and youthful energy can achieve. It's more than an app, it's a movement toward smarter, more connected education in Bangladesh. And for Suhaib, Ashfaq, and Akif, the journey is just beginning.

Fakibaz is a next-gen EdTech SaaS platform designed to democratize academic resources for students across Bangladesh. At its heart, Fakibaz introduces a peer-to-peer handwritten note-sharing system, enabling students to upload their personal notes and earn from them, finally giving value to the hard work that often ends up passed quietly to a sibling or a random cousin your mom knows, haha.
Alongside this, Fakibaz offers a completely free, institution-based exam question bank with practice exam functionality, allowing students to test themselves using real academic content tailored to their school or curriculum. Whether you're cramming the night before, building long-term study strategies, or just trying to catch up on that one chapter you missed, Fakibaz has you covered.
> Students upload and download notes and question banks with each other.
> All uploaded content is reviewed for accuracy and usefulness.
> Good content = earn points → convert to cash, discounts, or rewards. (We ensure smooth payments through bKash/Nagad/Card gateways.)
> Even rejected content fuels peer discussions, feedback, and learning. (All data contributes to training and refinement.)
> Join live study sessions via Google Meet, Discord, or Messenger, led by community moderators. (Study groups are organized by subject directly from the web portal.)
> Access everything for just ৳29/month or ৳250/year. (Free version available)
Fakibaz is going public on June 6 2026, and currently conducting nationwide surveys to align with real student needs. Fakibaz isn't just another edtech tool, it's built from lived experience, born from those desperate pre-exam nights where a single page of someone else's notes could save the semester.
