STRA Summit 2026, Adelaide, 4-6 March 2026

The Short Term Accommodation Association Australia (STAAA) is proud to announce the STRA Summit 2026, a national gathering of industry leaders, government representatives, property managers, short-term rental accommodation (STRA) owners, operators, Airbnb hosts, academic researchers and accommodation innovators.

The Summit will be held over three days in Adelaide, with an optional fourth day offering wine and local experience tours at an additional cost, providing attendees with both professional insights and opportunities to explore South Australia's renowned destinations.

Tickets are now available, with early bird pricing closing Sunday 30 November 2026. Owners and operators are encouraged to secure their spot before prices increase.

Theme: Navigating Change - The Future of STRA in Australia

Whether you call yourself an Airbnb host or simply manage short-term rental accommodation (STRA) bookings, the truth is you are a short-term rental accommodation (STRA) owner and operator. This Summit will focus on the critical challenges and opportunities facing STRA owners and operators nationwide, including regulatory pressures, taxation, tourism trends and technology innovations.

A key focus of STRA Summit 2026 will be the Book Direct strategy, providing STRA owners and operators with practical insights on how to increase direct bookings, reduce reliance on third-party booking platforms and regain control over their businesses. With booking platforms increasing commissions, providing less support for operators and lobbying for new taxes/levy's to be introduced, while paying minimal local taxes themselves, moving to a Book Direct strategy has never been more important.

The Summit will also feature leading academic STRA research experts, offering evidence based insights into market trends, economic impact and regulatory frameworks, ensuring attendees receive both practical and research backed knowledge.

STAAA Executive Director, Keiran Craig-Jones said:

"2026 will be a defining year for STRA in Australia. This Summit brings the sector together at a moment when clarity, collaboration, and strong industry leadership are essential. We will show owners and operators how to strengthen their businesses, take control of their bookings and grow independently of platforms that don't always act in their best interests."

The STRA Summit 2026 will provide unparalleled networking opportunities, showcasing the strength and diversity of Australia's short-term rental accommodation (STRA) sector and offering attendees a chance to combine learning with leisure during the optional fourth day wine and local experience tours.

Secure your tickets before early bird pricing closes this Sunday 30 November 2026.
