OKALOOSA COUNTY, FLORIDA - TOURIST DEVELOPMENT TAX GOES ONLINE

Sanford, Florida - Pioneer Technology Group - (March 28, 2008) – Pioneer Technology announced that the Okaloosa County Clerk of the Circuit Court has implemented Excise, Pioneer Technology Groups’ Tourist Development Tax System. Okaloosa County began using the new system on March 28th after a successful installation.

Excise provides the public web based access to online registration and payment of the Tourist Development Tax, which will significantly cut down on the number of paper coupons and mail in payments that Okaloosa County receives each month. Excise is designed to increase efficiencies, improve collection efforts, and significantly improve collection float for the County. Tax payers have the ability to view account information, calculate the amount of tax due, and remit the tax online.

Okaloosa County is the sixth County to implement Pioneer Technology Groups’ Tourist Development Tax System, other Florida counties include: Bay County, Santa Rosa County, Walton County, Manatee County, and Orange County.
