About the Author
Dr. Gary W. Ewen has taught management and leadership at Colorado Christian University (CCU) for nearly four decades, using the Bible as the foundation for teaching timeless leadership principles. An avid fly-fisherman for almost fifty years, Dr. Ewen has also taught hundreds of students through CCU's Outdoor Leadership program, continuing to fish alongside many of them today. In 2002, he completed the Orvis Endorsed Fly-Fishing Guide School in Emigrant, Montana.
He lives in Evergreen, Colorado with his wife of 42 years and their special needs son, and is a proud father of two daughters and grandfather of three.
Why He Wrote the Book
"Rivers of Life" was born out of Dr. Ewen's love for both the outdoors and his faith. "There are profound spiritual parallels between fly-fishing and faith," says Ewen. "This book is a 40-day journey that merges both the art of fly-fishing and the timeless biblical truths of scripture."
