BOOX Announces the Palma 2 Pro a new Color Mobile ePaper

Since launching their first phone-sized device, the Palma, in 2023, users have eagerly anticipated mobile data compatabilty. Now, after two years of waiting, it's finally here. The new Palma 2 Pro now uses Android 15, features a color E Ink screen, includes BOOX Super Refresh Technology ,and supports the BOOX InkSense Plus stylus. The Palma series have always been on-the-go devices because of their smartphone-like size. The Palma 2 Pro measures in at 6.13" and 175 grams, but what separates the Palma 2 Pro from previous iterations is 5G connectivity. This allows users to download books, stream music, browse the internet, and check the weather from anywhere. The hybrid SIM slot enables users to select between dual-SIM functionality or to couple a SIM with a microSD card, which can provide up to 2TB of storage. For those looking for a device to help them reduce their phone usage, the Palma 2 Pro could be a good choice.The Palma 2 Pro is outfitted with the Kaleido 3 E Ink display, and has natural soothing colors. The color ePaper display makes for a calm yet captivating experience, with colors vivid enough to bring life to books and apps and gentle enough not to be intrusive or overstimulating. EPaper doesn't have harsh glare, and is easy to read in direct sunlight, and the Palma 2 Pro has built-in A-GPS so it should be a reliable navigation device even on sunny days.
The Palma 2 Pro is also equipped with a dual-tone front light, which adapts to environmental light. E Ink technology is already better for eye health by leaps and bounds, and the BOOX firmware V4.1 update includes 4 front light modes designed to enhance the reading environment. And the Palma 2 Pro, like all BOOX devices, includes EinkWise display presets which tailor the refresh rates and colors to the current task.
For the Palma 2 Pro BOOX has also increased RAM to 8GB in order to improve performance and responsiveness. The device now runs on Android 15, providing improving app compatibility through access to the Google Play store. Additionally, with support for the BOOX InkSense Plus stylus, the Palma 2 Prois ready for highlighting, quick notes, and to-do lists.
The Palma 2 Pro also preserves all the functions that users appreciate in the Palma 2, like fingerprint lock and auto screen rotation. The outer casing is designed to be sleek, with a textured finish that repels water. Palma 2 Pro follows the previous Palmas footsteps, coming in Charcoal Black or Ivory White.
