Finnish Expert Brings Enterprise Architecture to a Global Audience - New Book Turns it into a Practical Leadership Tool

New book shows how enterprise architecture helps organizations manage change and AI-driven transformation

New book shows how enterprise architecture helps organizations manage change and AI-driven transformation

"A new international management book makes enterprise architecture understandable and actionable - even for non-architects."

Organizations worldwide face the same challenges: fragmented data, failed IT projects, and chaotic AI adoption. Yet most still lack a clear, structured way to connect strategy, operations, technology, and development.

Enterprise Architecture (EA) provides that structure - a practical way to visualize how an organization works, where information flows, and how change in one area affects the rest.

Finnish consultant and author Eetu Niemi offers a pragmatic roadmap in his new book, Enterprise Architecture - Your Guide to Organizational Transformation (Business Expert Press, 2025). The book introduces a lightweight and collaborative approach to EA, helping leaders and managers make better decisions and guide change without unnecessary complexity or cost.

The book is based on Niemi's earlier Finnish title, Kokonaisarkkitehtuuri - Oppaasi organisaation muutosmatkalla (Alma Insights, 2024), now expanded and internationalized for a global audience.

"Many organizations don't know where to start with enterprise architecture - it can feel abstract or bureaucratic. I wanted to show that EA can be simple, fast, and valuable when done right," says Niemi.

The book also highlights EA's growing importance in the age of AI and automation.

"You can't use AI responsibly and effectively unless you understand your organization's structure, data, and dependencies. EA provides that foundation," Niemi explains.

Rather than endless documentation, Niemi promotes dialogue and collaboration - bringing leaders, architects, and developers together around a shared picture of the enterprise.

"Architecture should connect people, not create silos. Lightweight EA means modeling only what matters for decision-making - nothing more," he adds.
