Olga Niemi reinforces VolleyNetWork team

The Finnish sports agent with Russian roots assumes the position of a team ambassador at the international sports agency VolleyNetWork.

Porvoo, 4 January 2019 – As a prelude of the year 2019, the international sports agency VolleyNetWork can announce a prominent reinforcement of its team. Olga Niemi becomes a team ambassador within the VolleyNetWork organization. The 45-year-old sports agent from Salo, Finland can look back on a successful career as a volleyball professional and has been successfully representing athletes on an international level for several years.

The volleyball career of Olga Niemi began at the age of 8 years in her birthplace Novokuznetsk in southwestern Siberia. Soon, the talented athlete caught the attention of legendary coach Nikolay Karpol, who guided the then 13-year-old to the elite training group of the former Soviet Union to Ekaterinburg (Sverdlovsk). Niemi played for the USSR junior team and made her debut at 16 in the first team of the traditional club Uralochka-NTMK Ekaterinburg. From there the middle blocker entered the international volleyball stage with performances in St. Petersburg (Russia), Somero (Finland), Leverkusen (Germany), and Salo (Finland).

In Finland, the now experienced sports professional became national player and series champion at top club LP Viesti Salo. 4 championship titles and 5 cup wins are among the impressive record of the exceptional athlete. The collaboration with VolleyNetWork enables Olga Niemi to use her close contact with the volleyball world and excellent networking skills to benefit today's professional athletes:
