The digital learning portal Schlaumik.de is expanding its range of services once again: a separate area with interactive math exercises for 2nd grade is now available. Children can systematically practise arithmetic up to 100, deepen their understanding of place value up to 1000 and discover their first multiplication and division problems - in a structured, everyday and motivating way.

The content is based on the CurriculumPLUS Bavaria (ISB), takes into account the binding KMK educational standards for mathematics at primary level and was developed in line with international curricula (including Common Core). This ensures that the exercises reliably cover school requirements and at the same time promote modern areas of competence.

"In the second grade, it is decided whether children really understand and confidently apply arithmetic operations," explains [name, e.g. founder or spokesperson of Schlaumik.de]. "With our new 2nd grade area, we combine educational quality with interactive formats - for visible learning progress, differentiated support and genuine enjoyment of arithmetic."

The new area is aimed at pupils in year 2 and supports teachers and parents with revision, consolidation and differentiation. Short task formats with direct feedback enable independent work - in class, during homeschooling or at home.

Learning focuses for year 2 on Schlaumik.de:

Addition & subtraction up to 100 - with and without tens transition, decomposition, addition, reversal tasks, first written procedures

Introduction to multiplication & division - groups of the same size, multiplication sequences up to 5/10, division, checking by reversing, "missing number"

Place value up to 1000 - recognizing units, tens, hundreds, representing and ordering numbers, counting in steps

Time & calendar - reading analog/digital clocks, comparing times and time spans, days/weeks/months

Money - counting euro and cent coins/banknotes, comparing prices, calculating change

Measurements & sizes - lengths in cm/mm, mass/weight, temperatures, using simple measuring devices correctly

Geometry - 2D/3D shapes, symmetry, shifting/rotating, initial ideas about perimeter and area

Data & diagrams - reading and comparing simple column, circle and picture diagrams

First ideas of fractions & probability - half/third/quarter, possible and impossible events

Logic & patterns - continuing sequences, recognizing rules, finding errors, solving number puzzles

With this new offering, Schlaumik.de is taking another step towards quality-assured digital education and making learning at primary school age even more flexible - perfect for differentiation, repetition and individual support.
