Flexible folio-size sheeter converts a wide range of paper, board, and plastic materials
Hamburg/Düsseldorf, April 10, 2008 – Pemco, the specialist for folio-size sheeting, and a member of the Körber PaperLink Group, will showcase an SHM 1450 DR (dual rotary) at drupa 2008 in Hall 11 at stand B62/C62.The specification of the SHM 1450 DR sheeter on display has proved to be particularly popular with printers for “In-house” sheeting of their paper and carton board requirements and to service their printing presses “on demand” in keeping with JIT production philosophy.
The SHM range of high precision sheeters from Pemco provides great flexibility. “In addition to traditional paper and board products, the SHM 1450 DR can sheet a broad spectrum of other materials produced in roll form”, says John Finlayson, European Sales Manager, Pemco International. “That is why converters who plan to run specialty products do not need to invest in multiple machines, thus reducing costs without sacrificing quality.”
The SHM 1450 range of sheeters is available in both single and dual rotary “synchro” versions. It addresses the needs of paper merchants and suppliers entering the converting market for the first time. In addition, it is perfectly suited for established converters seeking enhanced market profile through state of the art sheeting facilities, accuracy and performance.
The SHM 1450 DR has a “synchro” cross cut knife block from E.C.H. Will and can attain a maximum speed of 335 meters per minute. Size or format changes need less than 10 minutes including loading a new roll. Optionally, non-stop operation and automatic pallet change or extended sheet lengths of up to 2.8 meters are available. These options reflect the ever larger format sizes being offered by today’s modern printing presses.
The Pemco SHM 1450 DR sheeter will be demonstrated throughout the exhibition with simulated production runs at the Körber PaperLink stand.
