Alphas and Alpharines Foundation Wins Prestigious International Award for Youth Empowerment and Education

The Alphas and Alpharines Foundation (AAF) has been honoured with the title of "Most Dedicated Youth Empowerment & Education NPO 2025 - South Africa" by Acquisition International, a UK-based publication celebrating excellence across global industries. This recognition comes as part of their prestigious Non-Profit Organisation Awards 2025.
Founded in 2018, AAF has dedicated its efforts to uplifting learners from disadvantaged communities through tutoring, STEM mentorship, career exhibitions, and innovative youth programmes such as the Shadow2Success Initiative, AAF Chatbot and the Blue Planet Competition.
"This award is a celebration of every learner who dared to dream beyond their circumstance and every mentor who walked alongside them," said Mmahiine Mosana, Founding Director of the Foundation. "It strengthens our resolve to expand our reach and deepen our impact."
The Foundation remains committed to addressing educational inequality and creating sustainable pathways for young people across South Africa. Future plans include scaling up STEM job-shadowing opportunities and extending its career exhibitions support to rural provinces. Through support of organisations such as the University of the Witwatersrand, School of Biomedical Sciences, Department of Physiology, Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf) and partnership with Bashumi Instruments and Control Services (BICS), the foundation bridges the gap between classroom learning and real-world science careers.
