New CYBEX Solution X car seat tested „very good“

Kulmbach, January 2008. Shocking statistics proof: The leading cause for injuries and death of children are road accidents. This applies mostly to children travelling in the car as passengers. With over 50% of all serious injuries the head is the most affected body part, followed by shoulders and chest. Especially in a side impact collision the number of injuries of head and shoulders rise significantly. Approximately 70% of all fatalities of children are caused in a side impact collision, according to a study of the IRTAD (International Road Traffic and Accident Database).

With the Solution X CYBEX presents a child restraint system of worldwide unique safety and comfort.

The most important element in this safety concept is the worldwide patented three-position reclining headrest which elegantly and safely solves the problem of the falling forward of the child's head when asleep. Especially in the case of a side impact collision your child's head stays inside the safety zone and does not fall into a dangerous position. This unique safety feature guarantees maximum protection and over 80% more safety in this type of accident.

Along with the reclining headrest, the newly designed shoulder protectors of the Solution X have been combined into the L.S.P. System (Linear.Side-impact.Protection). In detail, this new safety mechanism is reflected in the linear alignment of headrest and shoulder protectors in which the momentum of a side impact collision is systematically reduced. Due to this new configuration, a series of reactions are triggered in which the head and shoulder protectors absorb the momentum of the body at an early stage during the impact and lock the sensitive head of the child into the safety zone of the seat.

This unique safety concept which optimally protects children in any type of accident received a „very good“ shortly after market entry by Germany’s prestigious Autobild.de.

The Solution X collection 2008 comprises 8 fashionable colour designs with easily detachable, washable and specially padded seat covers made of high quality, breathable materials. The Solution X is a continuation of the CYBEX Solution child safety seats. When launched in 2005, the CYBEX Solution already set new standards with regard to safety, design and functionality.
