TURBOdesign Suite 2025.1

TURBOdesign Suite 2025.1

Advanced Design Technology, Ltd. (ADT), a leading turbomachinery design software company, announces the release of its latest software version, TURBOdesign Suite 2025.1. This release marks a significant leap forward in the field of turbomachinery design, with improvements in CAE integration and expanded capabilities tailored for radial turbomachinery applications.

Building on the robust optimization framework introduced in previous versions, TURBOdesign Suite 2025.1 harnesses machine learning tools, 3D inverse design parameterization techniques, and automated coupling with leading CAE solvers such as Ansys CFX and Simcenter STAR-CCM+. While the 2024.2 release established a foundation for solving complex design challenges, this new update extends its powerful integration across centrifugal fans, Sirocco fans, Francis turbines, and radial inflow turbines, adding to its established support for axial and mixed flow machines.

Key features of this release include improved workflows for designing and analyzing radial machine types, enabling engineers to optimize designs for multi-point and multi-objective challenges specific to various radial turbomachinery applications. Users can now seamlessly connect the software with preferred CAE tools to explore design spaces faster, optimize multiple operating conditions, and achieve superior performance.

Prof. Mehrdad Zangeneh, Managing Director of ADT, emphasized the importance of this update:
"By expanding TURBOdesign Suite 2025.2 applications to radial machines while enhancing CAE integration, we've empowered engineers with the ability to innovate more efficiently. Whether you're optimizing centrifugal fans for specific pressure characteristics or tackling the complex flow physics of Francis turbines, this latest release addresses key challenges with enhanced automation and precision. Our goal is to enable turbomachinery designers to save time and resources by developing accurate and small data set machine learning models for design optimization and the 2025.2 release is an important step in this direction."
