Gloucestershire, UK - 21 May, 2025 - Jet2.com and Skyborne Airline Academy have unveiled an ambitious new initiative designed to eliminate the financial barriers to pilot training, providing aspiring aviators with a direct pathway to the flight deck of the UK's third-largest airline. The multi-million-pound program, named Jet2FlightPath , offers successful candidates an 18-month fully sponsored pilot training package delivered by Skyborne, one of the scheme's approved training providers.

Upon completing the program, graduates will obtain a UK CAA Integrated Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) and receive Type Rating training on either Airbus or Boeing aircraft. Following this, they will begin their careers as Second Officers with Jet2.com. Training will be conducted at Skyborne's state-of-the-art facilities in Gloucestershire and Bournemouth in the UK, as well as in Vero Beach, Florida, in the United States. Jet2.com will provide a subsistence allowance for trainees, and all Class 1 Medical costs will also be covered. Participants will have access to guidance from Jet2.com pilot mentors and gain insights into the airline's operations through immersive aviation events.

The program is open to candidates aged 18 to 55 at the start of training, who must hold a valid passport and unrestricted right to live and work in the UK. Previous flying experience is not required.
