140+ Ways to Promote Rome's Mark of Authority-Sunday Sacredness

"The enforcement of Sunday-keeping on the part of Protestant churches is an enforcement of the worship of the papacy-of the beast" (Great Controversy, p. 448).

When Protestant churches promote and enforce Sunday worship as a mandated day of rest and reverence, they are upholding a tradition that originates not from Scripture, but from the authority of the Papacy. The Bible clearly identifies the seventh day, Saturday, as the true Sabbath instituted by God at Creation and reaffirmed in the Ten Commandments. By substituting this with Sunday-a change the Catholic Church openly claims as a mark of its authority-Protestant churches are effectively lending their support to the authority of Rome, fulfilling the prophetic warning of Revelation that speaks of all the world wondering after the beast.

It is not only Protestant churches that have played a role in promoting Sunday observance. The mainstream media has also become a powerful force in shaping public sentiment toward Sunday rest. Through public advocacy in news coverage, entertainment, and opinion pieces, the media has helped normalize the idea of Sunday as a universal day of rest, often framing it as beneficial for health, family, and society. This carefully crafted narrative supports the papal agenda by reinforcing Rome's mark of authority-Sunday sacredness. As a result, the media has become a key ally in advancing the cause of the papacy, conditioning the public to embrace a form of worship that stands in opposition to the clear commandments of God.

On May 8, 2025, MSN News published an article titled "140+ Best Happy Sunday Messages for Friends and Loved Ones," openly promoting Sunday as a sacred day for spiritual renewal and reconnection with God and others. The article presented Sunday as a time for restoration, peace, and divine connection-yet notably, it offered no biblical evidence to support the sanctity of the day. Below is a summary of some of the postings shared by MSN News, which, unfortunately, appear to be a desperate attempt to persuade people to honor Sunday despite the absence of any scriptural foundation.

• "May this amazing Sunday fill your week with laughter, joy, and happiness." [1]

• "Feel the magic of this Sunday morning and know that you're blessed because you're alive to see this beautiful morning!" [1]

• "A Sunday well spent brings a week of content." [1]

Despite offering over 140 suggestions on how to honor Sunday-from rest and family time to worship and social engagement-the media fails to provide even a single Bible verse that designates Sunday as the divinely appointed day of rest. This isn't news, it's an indoctrination exercise based on grave errors, and if we accept them, the devil will take control of our minds.

"Error is never harmless. It neversanctifies, but always brings confusion and dissension. It is always dangerous. The enemy has great power over minds that are not thoroughly fortified by prayer and established in Bible truth" (Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 292).

For years, Sunday has been praised by the media in countless articles, broadcasts, and lifestyle pieces as the ideal day for renewal and reflection; yet, the only thing in common with these so-called reports is a glaring absence of scriptural support for such claims. On the other hand, the Bible consistently points to the seventh day, Saturday, as the true Sabbath, established by God at Creation and reaffirmed in the Ten Commandments. The media's enthusiastic promotion of Sunday rest, without biblical backing, exposes a reliance on tradition over truth, steering society toward a man-made standard of worship rooted not in Scripture, but in the authority of the papacy.

Today, the world has sanctified the first day of the week and is participating in a fraud, a lie, a deception. Millions believe that Sunday is the day of rest, but as long as God endures, as long as His word is true, and as long as the earth remains, the seventh-day Sabbath is a rebuke to all those who are worshiping on the wrong day.

Let Us Stop Avoiding the Real Issues

The

While walking down the hallway at the America's Center Convention Complex-the site of the 62nd General Conference Session-I saw Ganoune Diop approaching. Rome Stops Traffic On Ecological Sunday
Rome's "Ecological Sundays," which restrict traffic to reduce pollution, may at a first glance appear to be an environmental initiative on the surface, but they serve a deeper agenda-to condition the public to the idea of staying home and resting on Sundays. While rest is not inherently problematic, the issue lies in how this concept is being enforced-not through a voluntary means, but through civil law. By mandating Sunday rest
