Peggy Schott, who has over 100 IMDb acting credits and a decade of involvement in Texas independent film, brings authenticity and emotional depth to the role, backed by her own deep Texas heritage. Born in New Orleans but with ancestors rooted in Texas before the Revolution, Schott is also a proud member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

Texas Legacy In Lights, developed by Texas native and industry veteran John Franklin Rinehart and his company Austin Film Crew, was approved by the Gonzales City Council on March 13, 2025. The presentation will use rare and complex 3D projection mapping technology-comparable in quality to Disney's EPCOT-to project an immersive, 33-minute show onto the Gonzales Memorial Museum's 32x96-foot facade.
This cutting-edge augmented reality experience will transport visitors back to 1835, to the dawn of the Texas Revolution, spotlighting Gonzales's pivotal role. The show's powerful sound design, created by a former NASA media engineer, will cover over 90,000 square feet with hidden subwoofers and speakers to enhance the realism of historical reenactments.

"Gonzales, Texas has a legacy like no other," says Rinehart. "My ancestors fought in the Battle of Gonzales, and I want their story told with the dignity and power it deserves. This project is a celebration of our roots and a gift to future generations."
With Gonzales set to become only the fifth U.S. city to host a 3D mapping display of this scale, Texas Legacy in Lights is expected to dramatically boost tourism and awareness of the city's historical significance. The show will be a free presentation twice nightly, six days a week.
The project, with a production value estimated at over $5 million, is being completed for under $400,000-thanks in part to contributions from Rinehart's Hollywood contacts who are passionate about the cause.
The soft launch of Texas Legacy in Lights is scheduled for July 2025, with a grand opening event planned for October 2, 2025-honoring the historic date of the original Battle of Gonzales.
