Palm Sunday - April 13 at 10:00 AM
The week begins with a celebration of Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Children will lead a Palm Procession, joyfully reenacting the crowd's welcome of Jesus with shouts of "Hosanna!" as they laid palm branches before Him. This service sets the tone for the week-both in its celebration and in its foreshadowing of what is to come.
Maundy Thursday - April 17 at 7:30 PM
Maundy Thursday remembers the night our Lord instituted the Lord's Supper, offering His body and blood as a new covenant for the forgiveness of sins. The service concludes with the stripping of the chancel, a moving tradition during which the altar is solemnly cleared while Psalm 22 is chanted, echoing the cry of Christ on the cross: "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" This act prepares worshippers for the sorrow of Good Friday.
Good Friday - April 18 at 7:30 PM
On this most solemn day, the church gathers to meditate on the Passion of our Lord. The complete account of Jesus' betrayal, suffering, and death is read aloud, inviting the congregation to behold the depth of God's love poured out at the cross. This service will be conducted bilingually in English and Spanish, welcoming all in our community to hear the good news of Jesus' sacrifice for the sins of the world.
Easter Sunday - April 20 at 10:00 AM
The darkness of the tomb gives way to the light of life as the church gathers to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Easter proclaims the central hope of the Christian faith-that Jesus is risen, and because He lives, we too shall live. The joy of this morning service is grounded in the victory Christ has won over sin, death, and the grave, and in the eternal life He offers to all who believe.
Pastor Christopher Jackson, who will lead each of the services, offers these reflections: "Holy Week is the most important week for the Christian church. During this week, we recall the greatest act of love ever done-the death of Jesus Christ-and we celebrate the great promise His Resurrection has for us: victory over sin and death."
