HYC Unveils 2D Matrix Fiber Array for Optical Circuit Switching (OCS) at OFC 2025
Traditional electronic switching systems face limitations in power consumption, bandwidth, and latency, making them inadequate for the ultra-large-scale data transmission demands of the AI computing era. OCS technology enables rapid and flexible routing and switching of optical signals at the optical layer, dynamically configuring networks by adjusting light transmission paths. This results in low latency, high bandwidth, and energy efficiency. The 2D FA is a key component of OCS optical switches, enabling matrix-based optical signal switching and supporting multiple input and output channels.
Leveraging its expertise in precision coupling (sub-micron level) and advanced back-end processing, HYC has developed 2D Matrix FA that meets the demands of large-scale OCS system deployments:
