LONDON, 11 March 2008 – The Baltic Air Charter Association (BACA), the world’s largest and most prestigious network for air charter professionals, has just released the names of its newly added council members for 2008.

The new members are:

- Justin Bowman – Justin is the Group Commercial Director of Air Charter Service PLC (ACS). Justin has been with ACS for the last 16 years, working primarily on the cargo side of the business. Before taking up his current position at the company, Justin has served as a trainee broker, broker, team leader and finally as cargo sales manager. In addition to his work at ACS, Justin is a keen aerobatics and light aircraft pilot.

- Alastair Kiernan: Alastair has been with Titan Airways at their London Stansted base for over 14-years. Today, he serves as Commercial Director for Titan and is responsible for all sales and marketing within the company. In addition, he works on future development projects and is highly involved with many aspects of customer service.

- John Ellis – John has been with the London Air Charter Centre, serving as a specialist in worldwide air chartering for over ten years. John previously served on BACA’s council, but retired last year due to health problems that have now happily been resolved. John has returned to council and is, in his own words, “Fully charged up and ready to get back into the thick of things.”

BACA council members are charged with effectively representing the interests of commercial aviation companies, particularly in the air charter industries and markets. Currently, BACA counts among its members some 125 companies, which include air brokers, charter airlines, airports, business aircraft operators, freight forwarders, consultants and others.

“I’m very pleased to welcome our newest council members,” said Markham Jackson, BACA Chairman. “They have all shown exemplary dedication to upholding and promoting BACA’s principal objective, which is to promote integrity and ethical business practices so that our members are provided with the means to deal with each other with confidence, regardless of location or previous history.”

BACA, which will hold its annual Awards Luncheon on 24 April at Plaisterers’ Hall, 1 London Wall, has always been known for its professionalism and industry dedication. This year, BACA is making great strides to become more active and vocal. According to Jackson, “We are the voice of the entire industry. I am confident that our new council members will further help BACA uphold our strong traditions, add strength to our membership and promote our honourable code of conduct.”

In conjunction with the Awards Luncheon, BACA will be unveiling a newly revitalised “quality mark.” This quality mark will, according to a BACA spokesperson, envelope the already familiar BACA logo. BACA, which has always expected its members to abide by an honourable code of conduct, will be also be placing added emphasis throughout the year to its respected motto: “Our word our bond.”
