SundanceDSP Unveils CME720: A High-Performance AMD KintexTM UltraScale FPGA-Based Board in COM Express Type 6 Form Factor

Reno, NV - [March 4, 2025] - SundanceDSP, a leading provider of high-performance FPGA-based solutions, is excited to announce the launch of the CME720, a powerful AMD KintexTM UltraScale FPGA-based board solution designed in the COM Express Type 6 Basic form factor. This new product is engineered to meet the demands of a wide range of applications, including measurement systems, software development, digital signal processing (DSP), data centers, high-performance computing, aerospace, and defense.
The CME720 is a highly flexible and robust FPGA solution that features an FMC+ site, DDR4 memory, and multiple high-speed interfaces. It supports up to three AMD Kintex UltraScale FPGA devices: KU060, KU085, and KU115. This adaptability allows users to select the FPGA model that best fits their specific computational and I/O requirements.

● AMD Kintex UltraScale FPGA: Supports XCKU060-1FFVA1517, XCKU085-1FLVA1517, and XCKU115-1FLVA1517 devices.
● PCIe x8 Gen 3.0 connectivity via COM Express connectors.

● SkyWorks clock generator ICs provide precise clock resources for fabric clocks and transceivers.
● HPC FMC+ (VITA 57.4) interface with 24 XCVRs, 34 LA pairs, 24 HA pairs, and 22 HB pairs.
● Adjustable Vadj levels (0.9V to 1.8V) for enhanced compatibility with FMC+ modules.
● DDR4 SDRAM memory: 64-bit with 8-bit ECC or 72-bit wide 2.5GB capacity.
● 1GB QSPI flash with multi-boot capability.
● Core power up to 50A for high-performance applications.
● Embedded USB-JTAG/UART for programming and debugging via USB-C.
● User LEDs, power indicators, DIP switch, and reset options for seamless operation.
