GOI needs Experience Designers!

The term 'Politics' refers to the way countries are administered, and the way Governments make rules and policies to govern communities and public at large. Hence, Politicians are lawmakers who can fulfil this prerequisite of Politics.
In today's world, politics has become rather slanderous and derogatory. We would, however, stick to the initial definition of politics (which is what it was intended to be).
Since politics is designed to administer human society properly, it would be valuable if politicians understood and appreciated the behavioural science of HUMANS. Understanding of human behaviour is not rocketry, but it needs endless empathy and compassion. Being sensitive to demands of the people needs research inclination and someone who can identify needs of the society and deliberate solutions.
These are abilities that a User Experience Designer (UX Designer) gets on the table. He/She is not just an effective listener but also someone who can find rapid solutions which can fix problems.
Understanding users' needs, conducting buzz sessions for administrative and policy solutions and drafting these policies is comparable to building an outstanding product ready for launch. Any good product comprises of an appropriate Information Architecture (Outlines of the Policy), UI (Appeal and Usage), Copy (Communication on the Policy) and Marketing of the Product (Awareness/Perception of the Policy).
Its not just Strategy and Design, its also the Roll-out Program, Guidelines, Roadmap and MVP that Experience Designers devise when launching any product. Experience Designers in Politics can help in ideating and executing a roll-out plan of these policies. Policies also need to be validated and revisions need to be made after immediate launch (Just like Hypercare stage after Product launch). Thence, just as for any product, Experience Designers can regularly assess, monitor and enhance these policies.
Its thus, not just an appeal but a strong proposition that the policy draft task force should comprise of Designers. It will also be fabulous to have representation from Design Sorority in Rajya Sabha to bring forward ideas and suggestions which can enhance lives of 140 billion Indians. As we stand at the tipping point and are very aggressively moving to become the third biggest economy, Design will play a dominant role in not just cosmetics of the country but in getting the very fabric and knitting the right crochet stitches to flourish our Bharat!
