Winner of Bad Fuessing Skat festival qualified

The days of the 11th to the 15th February was a week full of events for the participants of the 5th International Skat festival. The initiative of spa manager and mayor filled the big hall of Bad Fuessing with more than 150 activated Skat players for a competition over five days. The tournament was organized by www.skat-international.de under supervision of Hans Cordes and was one out of four possible Skat events to qualify directly for the finale of Skatropoly.
In Bad Füssing the ex European master Thomas Wenning won the single valuation. The German Skat Leaguer played in total 18.783 point during the five days tournament and gained the victory. Erwin Kroehle, court member of Skat-Online, was right behind him and ended up with only 101 point less on second place. One of the most successful youngsters made the third position: ISPA`s German Skat Leaguer Martin Findeisen, with 17.647 scores. All of them are directly qualified and allowed to play for the trophy of Skatropoly at the Maritim-Hotel in Duesseldorf.
For this exceptional Skat contest finalists are determined over the whole year 2008. 24 are recruited from online tournaments, accompanied by www.skat-turniere.de. 12 more are ascertained by direct qualification at selected offline Skat events. With the winners of Skat festival Bad Fuessing the first three Skat players of the finale are set.
