TechnorRiver updates barcode software to support the next generation barcode GS1 DataBar
TechnoRiver is pleased to announce the availablity of a new release of its industry-leading label design and barcode software TechnoRiverStudio (formerly SmartCodeStudio). The update adds several modern barcodes, including GS1-DataBar. GS1-DataBar is a compact barcode capable of identifying small items and encoding more information. By attaching more information to the barcode, the labelled item can achieve the benefits of better traceability. It can also carry additional data for authentication and categorization purposes. GS1-DataBar is expected to be the next major barcode symbology used on many trade items.The TechnoRiver update also introduces a new advanced Text object that handles long text strings easily. It is capable of breaking down a string into several lines and then resizing them to fit within a bounding box.
TechnoRiverStudio has been unique in that it supports multi-language labels easily, allowing different languages to be entered on the same layout and enables users to design labels targeted for the international market.
