The 4th International Speak Slam in Wiesbaden ended with thunderous applause and amazed faces on January 16, 2025, with Thomas Jordan from Vienna in the spotlight. The expert for authenticity in business competed against over 200 participants from 26 countries - and swept both the audience and the jury off their feet in just four minutes.

The event, which had previously been held in New York, Dubai and Vienna, brought together speakers worldwide. As in a poetry slam, the participants were only allowed a short speaking time to convince the audience.

The strict four-minute limit (yes, only 240 seconds!) made for some thrills on both stages. But Thomas Jordan was not deterred and showed impressively what happens when you present yourself authentically - even if this can cause a "shock moment" here and there.

The participants were world champions, authors, speakers, and entrepreneurs.

"I wouldn't have dared to do that. Respect!", marveled world champion Oktay Mann afterwards. With his direct manner and unvarnished truth, Jordan secured the coveted Excellence Award and impressed not only the jury but also the international audience who followed the event via live stream.

Thomas, a successful coach, is convinced: "In business, authenticity is often the underestimated success booster - but so is a risk. Sometimes, you have to shock people to wake them up." His speech impressively demonstrated that authentic behavior ensures standing ovations and new ways of thinking.

Thomas Jordan received the Excellence Award at this year's Speaker Slam for his courage and outspoken manner. In doing so, he set an exclamation mark for the city of Vienna and, at the same time, inspired coaches and entrepreneurs worldwide. "This award shows what is possible when you dare to be yourself. And that makes me incredibly proud_", says Jordan.

Thanks to the international livestream and enthusiastic reactions, the coach from Eppstein now wants to offer more workshops and talks on authenticity. "I want to encourage people to trust themselves. If you want to make a difference, you shouldn't be afraid of yourself, explains Jordan. In Wiesbaden, he impressively demonstrated that he lives this.
