Shimco Wins Business Excellence Award

MARKHAM, Ontario (November 18, 2014) – Shimco, a leader in manufacturing precision parts, laminated and edge bonded shims, tapers and spacers, announced today the receipt of the award in the category of Innovation at the Markham Board of Trade's 2014 Business Excellence Awards Gala held November 6, 2014 in Markham, Ontario, Canada. Peter Voss, President and Owner of Shimco and Shimco’s senior management team attended the black-tie event to accept the award.

The Innovation award recognizes a successful business that fosters a culture of innovation in technology, manufacturing or marketing. An independent team of volunteers from the Markham business community interviewed nominees to determine the finalists and the award recipients. Ten local businesses were recognized as the best in their field at the Markham Board of Trade's 24th Annual Business Excellence Awards.
