The documentary closely combines Tan Kah Kee's vivid deeds with the background of the times and fully demonstrates the profound theme and spiritual connotation of the overseas Chinese group holding high the flag of patriotism.
Wan Lijun, the president of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, said that the older generation of overseas Chinese represented by Tan Kah Kee had made indelible contributions to national independence and national prosperity. The sacrifices and contributions of the vast majority of overseas Chinese will not be forgotten by history, the motherland and the people.
