"An alternative folk setting provides the motivation to wander through five Old Testament inspired quotations that thematically deal with human sinfulness. The lyrical idea draws from an old rabbinical form of teaching scripture. Many of us are searching for answers to today's questions. Where better to look than in life's manual?" says Mann.
Inspired by Romans 3:10-18, "String of Pearls" is a hauntingly beautiful track that explores the human condition. Mann's vocals are both powerful and vulnerable, and the song's arrangement is both intricate and accessible.
"String of Pearls" is the fourth single from Turn Up the Divine , which was released on June 7, 2024. The album is a collection of songs that explore themes of faith, doubt, and redemption.
