Recover Now Expands Substance Use Disorder Treatment Network

BIRMINGHAM, AL - November 18, 2024 - Recover Now, a Birmingham-based behavioral healthcare provider, has announced its acquisition of Retreat of Atlanta, a medical detox and residential treatment center in Eatonton, Georgia. This acquisition is part of Recover Now's strategic effort to broaden access to evidence-based addiction and mental health care throughout the Southeast.

The addition of Retreat of Atlanta enhances Recover Now's growing treatment network, which now spans eight locations across the region. Since its 2023 acquisition of Longbranch Recovery and Wellness, Recover Now has been expanding rapidly to serve communities impacted by addiction and mental health challenges. With the Retreat's 24-bed residential facility, Recover Now increases its capacity to 135 beds, addressing the Southeast's pressing need for accessible, high-quality treatment resources for those seeking recovery.

"Bringing Retreat of Atlanta into the Recover Now network is about more than business growth-it's a meaningful investment in the future of addiction and mental health care," said Clayton Mobley, Director at Recover Now. "We're thrilled to expand our presence into the Atlanta market. By bringing our quality of care to more patients, we aim to make a positive impact on the individuals and families facing this challenging disease. The dedicated team at The Retreat, combined with our entrepreneurial drive and operational expertise, positions us to build a meaningful presence in the Southeast."

Retreat of Atlanta specializes in treating substance use disorders through medically supervised detox programs, residential care, and a range of therapeutic services, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), medication-assisted treatment, dual diagnosis support, and family counseling. Accredited by The Joint Commission and licensed by the Georgia Department of Community Health, Retreat of Atlanta is widely recognized for its compassionate, patient-centered approach that promotes sustainable recovery.

"We're proud to welcome Retreat of Atlanta into the Recover Now network," said Chris Devine, Director at Recover Now. "This acquisition strengthens our position in the addiction treatment market and expands our capacity to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. The Retreat's strong team and trusted reputation align perfectly with our vision, and we're committed to investing in their success. Together, we're building a trusted, supportive network that meets the needs of clients and families and brings valuable growth to our business and community."
Recover Now currently employs 175 professionals across the Southeast and plans to add 15 new positions in the Birmingham area over the next several months. This workforce expansion aligns with the company's commitment to building a robust behavioral healthcare network, supporting recent acquisitions, and enhancing operational capacity for future growth.

The acquisition was financed by First Horizon Bank, with financial terms of the transaction remaining undisclosed.
