A Powerful New Charity, Named "Angels in Absentia," has been Launched to Combat Global Child Trafficking
Michael Justin Lee of the rock duo Solemn Pledge, boldly ventures into fighting the evil of child trafficking by founding a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding the most modern technology for rescue operations.
Michael Justin Lee, the founder of the rock duo Solemn Pledge as well as a veteran Chartered Financial Analyst and former professor of Finance, has veered into an important new direction.
Without discontinuing his music making with Solemn Pledge, he has founded "Angels in Absentia," a Federal 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to raising awareness of the evil of global child trafficking and combating the traffickers. Based near Washington, DC, Angels in Absentia will partner with major rescue organizations and fund their work.
Today marks the launch of the organization as well as the release of the charity's theme song, also named "Angels in Absentia." This song and its accompanying music video are streaming on all the world's platforms. It is a musical prayer of hope and gently tells the tragic story of global child sex trafficking.
Michael Justin Lee and the staff and volunteers of Angels in Absentia are determined to do their part to help make global child sex trafficking a crime of the past.

Solemn Pledge is a rock music duo that combines the artistries of Maria Genevieve Elia and Michael Justin Lee. Their eight previous albums have been very gratifyingly embraced by the public. All are streaming on Spotify, iTunes/Apple Music, Pandora, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, and over 150 other platforms worldwide.
Maria, a heavy metal vocalist with a very distinctive timbre and a vocal range of three and a half octaves, has performed on rock and symphonic rock projects with artists around the world.
