October 31, 2024 - Author Kieron Knights today announced the release of their book about another storm brewing in the land of Oz. "Farewell Oz" Part One is a modern sequel to "The Wizard of Oz" books by L. Frank Baum. The book is available on Amazon.com.
Knights has penned an incredible adventure sequel, where Dorothy Gale, now older and decades after her original journey to Oz and the Emerald City, has returned. Unexpectedly, the now quite old Wicked Witch of the West joins Dorothy to battle a new, insidious evil that threatens both Oz and the real world. Knights introduces the evil "Nefaris" who is only interested in his personal agenda.
"Farewell Oz" is the first magical installment of the new fantasy sequel series, reimagining a story near and dear to generations and new fans. The nostalgic story with a twist blends the author's imaginative darker themes, inviting the reader to revisit Oz.
"The sequel was born out of a deep respect for Baum's original works and a desire to explore what happens to childhood heroes when they grow up," said author Knights. "We are never too old for an adventure."
Dorothy and the witch, formerly adversaries, are united by the common goal of saving Oz, "proving that even in the darkest times, hope and bravery can light the way home," added Knights.
The women journey through a transformed Oz. In the process, they discover challenging secrets and immerse themselves in friendship and redemption. Their adventure brings out their courage and reveals the true meaning of redemption and friendship.
The author explained, "In a time when many feel constrained by the weight of responsibility, Dorothy's journey serves as a beacon of hope, encouraging us to reclaim our sense of wonder and courage."
