SAN FRANCISCO - September 16, 2024 - Tigers Eye Recruiting has launched, focusing on clients in states that ban non-compete agreements. Founder Anna Ray's mission is to innovate and disrupt talent acquisition to benefit small to midsized enterprises (SMEs) that typically are restricted by non-compete agreements.

Ray was inspired to start Tigers Eye Recruiting after personally experiencing rejection from a recruiting agency that claimed she lacked experience. She said, "Being turned down by a recruitment agency for lacking 'agency experience,' regardless of my offering to work for free, gave me the impetus and direction to innovate in my approach to creating my own agency."

Regarding the impact of non-competes, Ray commented, "Non-compete agreements benefit only large corporations. While NDAs protect trade secrets, non-competes create chaos, particularly in niche industries where workers are trapped within their sectors. If a company offers a more favorable work environment for employees, shouldn't people have the fundamental right to choose where they work? We intend to assist niche industries embroiled in the FTC non-compete debate."

Tigers Eye Recruiting is leaning into AI technology as it starts to reshape the recruiting landscape. Ray acknowledges that AI adoption will take time, but her firm is dedicated to training recruiters to utilize AI-saving as many recruiters' jobs as possible and advocating for reducing non-compete agreements.

Ray's story is inspiring. She grew up on a farm in rural Idaho. Graduating high school was a major milestone for her family. She went on to become the first in her family to earn a college degree and later completed her master's at Harvard Extension School, an accomplishment achieved by less than 5% of students. She went on to succeed in the corporate world as a headhunter, driven by her passion for connecting people with career opportunities.
