August 9, 2024 - Recent test data reveals that under ambient temperature is between 35-40 , the surface temperature of photovoltaic modules can be 50-70 , with the internal components potentially even hotter. The most direct impact of high temperature weather on photovoltaic modules is that, with the increase of temperature, the photovoltaic conversion efficiency of the modules will decrease inversely, resulting in a decrease in the overall power generation efficiency of the photovoltaic power generation system. Moreover, extreme high temperatures can increase the likelihood of system failures, thereby affecting system stability.

To ensure stable operation of photovoltaic modules in practical application scenarios, minimizing efficiency loss and system failures under extreme heat is a critical consideration in PV technology and product development. The latest empirical data from Risen Energy's Saudi Arabia Base shows that, from December 2023 to May 2024, Hyper-ion modules achieved an average daily power generation of 4.31Wh/W, with a generation gain 3.58% higher than TOPCon modules at the same site. This represents a 0.76% increase compared to the 2.82% gain recorded from February 2023 to February 2024. In April and May 2024, the daily average irradiance in Saudi Arabia reached 4.27 kWh/m2 and 4.75 kWh/m2, respectively, with average daily temperatures as high as 39.89 degrees C and 44.64 degrees C. Under these conditions, the monthly cumulative power generation of the HJT Hyper-ion modules reached 104.74 Wh/W and 130.49 Wh/W, with power generation gains 4.36% and 4.65% higher than TOPCon modules, respectively.
