About the Author:

Jon M. Garon is a Professor of Law and the Director of the Goodwin Program for Society, Technology, and the Law at Nova Southeastern University's Shepard Broad College of Law. He is a nationally recognized authority on technology law, intellectual property, and information privacy.

Garon's academic journey began with a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota, followed by a juris doctor degree from Columbia University School of Law His career includes significant leadership roles, such as serving as Dean of the Shepard Broad College of Law, Dean of Hamline University School of Law, and founding director of the Northern Kentucky University's Law + Informatics Institute and Lundsford Academy. He has published extensively, with over 70 academic articles books, and book chapters and to his name. His works cover a wide range of topics, including copyright law, entertainment law, and the legal implications of emerging technologies. Some of his notable publications include Parenting for the Digital Generation, The Entrepreneur's Intellectual Property & Business Handbook and The Independent Filmmaker's Law & Business Guide.
