CEO Makes a Leadership Gift to Position USF as a Catalyst for Nonprofit Excellence and Innovation

"Michelle's gift will position the school as the premier resource hub and collaborative partner for nonprofit organizations, providing access to critical information, trends, and leadership development. Her gift will elevate our mission through community-engaged outreach, addressing the immediate needs of nonprofit organizations regionally and across Florida. Initiatives include building a web-based hub for resources and research, creating a global nonprofit network with study abroad opportunities, and launching nonprofit capacity-building roundtables, podcasts and applied leadership labs. Turman, a USF alumna has been responsible for increasing the impact and best practices of nonprofit organizations she has served since 1996 and raised over $87 million for the Tampa Bay community through her professional and personal philanthropic efforts. "USF is uniquely positioned to serve as the expert through our collective multi-disciplinary expertise. With continued investment, we can serve as an innovative convener that will engage and strengthen servant leaders and further develop a workforce that our nonprofits need and desire."
