Orcan Energy AG ranked as a TOP 100 innovation company in Germany
Munich, 24 August 2016 – Orcan Energy AG has been ranked among the TOP 100 most innovative companies in Germany on its first time taking part. The TOP 100 Innovator Award for exceptional innovation and outstanding innovation success has been awarded to medium-sized companies in Germany since 1993.Over 366 companies applied to be among the "TOP 100" this year. The expert selection committee was lead by Prof. Nikolaus Franke from the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Orcan Energy AG was awarded a rating of A+ in the "Innovation-oriented Top Management" category. The company therefore comfortably ranked among the top 10 in this category in this year's TOP 100 innovation competition.
To bring ideas efficiently to market maturity, interdisciplinary teams from sales, development, prototyping and service create new field prototypes from current series models in the company's in-house innovation process. This also enables Orcan Energy to try out radical ideas quickly and with minimal risk. Failure is also part of the process, along with the constant question - what can the experts do better? "We promote a culture that lets people make mistakes, but that's exactly what makes risks controllable and makes revolutionary innovations possible", state Wolfgang Brand and Dr. Andreas Sichert from the company's Board of Directors. The technology leader from Munich has already registered over 90 patents.
