Emcee N.I.C.E., the versatile artist and producer with a career spanning over three decades, is being celebrated in a year-long exhibition at the El Paso Museum of History. Titled "Musica Sin Fronteras: Twentieth Century to Now."
El Paso, Texas - April 29, 2024 - The exhibition showcases Emcee N.I.C.E.'s significant contributions alongside other esteemed artists such as Khalid, Bobby Fuller, Juan Gabriel, Steve Crosno, The Mars Volta, Krystall Poppin, and many others who have left an indelible mark on the music industry. Born in Los Angeles and raised in El Paso, Emcee N.I.C.E. maintains a deep connection to his roots. "It's an honor to be part of this exhibit because as a trailblazer, this is where it all began," he shared, reflecting on his upbringing in the Northeast of the vibrant border city that shaped his artistic journey.

At the heart of the exhibition are Emcee N.I.C.E.'s accomplishments as a musician and producer. On display are his #1 Billboard Gospel Plaques, commemorating chart-topping hits like "I Got Angels." Recorded at the iconic Beacon Hill Recording Studio in El Paso, the song's accompanying music video captures the essence of the region, featuring scenes from El Paso and New Mexico. Directed by Sherwin Lau (Professor NMSU) and showcasing local talent, Executive Produced by Desiree Ramirez (of El Paso, TX). The video celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the Southwest. Emcee N.I.C.E.'s musical legacy transcends his hometown roots. Also a billboard smashed vinyl record, "If You Wanna Groove,"by A Lighter Shade of Brown " his first major label record release.

As a feature of the groundbreaking Latin rap group Lighter Shade of Brown, they made history as the first Latin rap artists to chart on the Billboard Top 200, R&B Top 50, and Rap Top 50 charts. His production work on 2Pac's posthumous album "Better Dayz," including the iconic track "Thugz Mansion," and the Oscar Award winning film soundtrack "Crash" further solidified his influence in the industry.

Throughout his career, Emcee N.I.C.E. has shown a commitment to innovation and collaboration. As one half of the group KansasCali, he explored new musical territories, blending rap and R&B influences to create a distinctive sound. His production work on "Thugz Mansion (NY)" with NAS, J.
